Kitty Bang Bang is the wild child of British Burlesque – a fire breathin’, chopper ridin’, rum swilling hellcat of a headliner, with a penchant for rhinestones, ballet slippers and ostrich feathers.
Kitty brings fire manipulation, ballet and buckets of personality to the stage wherever she performs. Nominated by her peers as number 20 in the Top 50 Burlesque Industry Figures of 2011, number 28 in 2012 and frequently lauded as one of the best dancers in Burlesque.
A star of international proportions, Kitty has performed around the globe and continues to tour extensively, taking vaudeville to new and exotic locations. She can lay claim to featuring in the first ever Bollywood film to contain burlesque and was also one of the very first burlesque performers to headline an official Venice Carnival soiree. She has recently starred in London’s West End as one of the ‘Hurly Burly Girlies’ in The Hurly Burly Show and is the 2011 title holder of the Milan Burlesque Awards ‘Best Performer’ category.
In 2011 she joined the cast of the award winning, La Soiree as their midnight performer for their NYE spectacular and has been invited to perform at the ‘Super Bowl of Burlesque’, Miss Exotic World Pagent in Las Vegas for the past two years. Kitty was also part of the latest production of the notorious circus show, ‘La Clique Royale’ in Edinburgh 2012. She has just returned from Miami where she played one of the leads in the new William Baker directed production, ‘Orchid’ and she is currently producing her own show ‘Boom & Bang’ at the famous Hippodrome Casino in London.
Kitty has shared the stage with such diverse faces as Dita Von Teese and Motorhead and has also featured in publications from all over the world, including The San Francisco Chronicle, The India Times, Maxim India and FHM.
Kitty Bang Bang is also an accomplished burlesque choreographer. Choreography credits include Trash City at London’s famous Roundhouse venue, the burlesque fan dance task for Channel 4’s Big Brother, choreography for the bunnies at the Playboy Club in London and scenes for ITV2’s Secret Diary Of A Call Girl.
